I “hiss.” That’s what my girlfriend calls it. It’s really more of a soundless scream.
When I drop something, or stub my toe, or my tolerance is tested by some other vexing little event, I let out a forceful and liberating exhalation, which sounds somewhat like a hiss.
Sometimes the fire within us burns a little too hot. And the only healthy reaction is to vent it. What do you do to let off steam? Hiss, scream, laugh, growl? Have you learned to fully embrace it?
