My stomach sunk. It was over.

The word was “SUCCEED.” As if stumbling on such a simple word wasn’t tragic enough. The word itself was laughing at me.

I wanted so bad to succeed, even at such a young age. I felt like I wasn’t good enough. A spelling bee crown might have made me feel worthy.

There is nothing wrong with ambition. It is my ambition that wishes the younger me was less ambitious!

When we try too hard to succeed, we stumble. We spend more time falling backwards than moving forward.

We forget that we are part of a bigger Story. We forget how to go with the Flow.

Being open to “success” is the shortest road to “success.” We have to allow it to come naturally, as the Story unfolds.

Staying true to the Story is our first priority. Success is just something we hope for.
